History
Stix was found severely injured, most likely after being hit by a car. He had a sacrococcygeal luxation, a bladder hematoma, and trauma to the nerves controlling his tail, bladder, bowel function, and hindquarters. Once stable, he underwent surgery to stabilize the injury and preserve much neurological function as possible. His prognosis depended on how much nerve function could be saved. Despite the pain and the harm he had suffered, Stix remained trusting and affectionate with everyone caring for him. His recovery has required veterinary treatment, monitoring, rehabilitation, patience, and support. Time was critical, but Stix showed us from the beginning that he was ready to fight. He is now learning to enjoy life as the loving, playful cat he was always meant to be.
Personality
Stix is an exceptionally friendly, loving, and playful young cat. He adores people and approaches visitors with trust, curiosity, and affection. He enjoys attention, gentle cuddles, and being close to his caregivers, but he also has a cheerful, independent side and loves exploring his surroundings. Stix does not allow his disability or difficult past to define him. He plays enthusiastically, follows the activity around the home, and greets each day with remarkable confidence. He is comfortable around adults and children and responds beautifully to calm, respectful handling. His gentle nature also makes him easy to love: he seeks company without being demanding and offers affection freely. Even after being found with injuries most likely caused by a road accident, Stix has retained his complete faith in people. He is resilient, expressive, and full of life. His happiest moments are spent playing, receiving attention, resting near someone he trusts, or sharing space with his animal friends. Stix would suit a compassionate family that sees his ability rather than his limitations and is prepared to continue supporting his needs. In return, he will bring warmth, humour, courage, and an extraordinary amount of love into their home.
Behaviour Around Other Animals
Stix is very friendly with other cats and dogs. He is relaxed, curious, and sociable when meeting animal companions and enjoys sharing his home with them. He would be happy in a multi-pet family, provided introductions are calm and gradual. Friendly animals may also offer him companionship, confidence, and safe opportunities for play and rest.
Behaviour Around Children
Stix is so friendly with children and enjoys gentle attention. He would suit a family with respectful children who understand that he must be handled carefully because of his spinal and nerve injury. Young children should always be supervised, especially during play, lifting, or rehabilitation exercises.

Stix lives indoors and follows a gentle routine of food, rest, play, affection, and short rehabilitation. He needs a safe, accessible home, clean litter facilities, monitoring, and support with any ongoing mobility or continence needs.

Health status
Stix suffered a sacrococcygeal luxation, bladder hematoma, and nerve damage after a road accident. Surgery stabilized the injury and aimed to preserve neurological function. Rehabilitation may include tail and perineal stimulation, range-of-motion exercises, massage, assisted walking, toe stimulation, cold-laser therapy, and vet-supervised NMES or TENS. Therapy must remain short and stress-free. His adopter must understand that nerve recovery can be slow and uncertain and that he may need continued therapy, monitoring, and support with mobility or continence.
