History
Lyra's story began in a way no kitten should experience — abandoned with her six tiny brothers in the yard of an apartment building, left to fend for themselves. They were weak, painfully thin, covered in fleas and ticks, and had clearly endured harsh conditions. The smell alone told us they'd likely been living in filth. Thankfully, a kind-hearted friend found them and got them to safety. After receiving medical care and lots of love at our vet clinic, Lyra came into our foster care — and slowly began to blossom.

Leash Behaviour
Not applicable
Training & House-manners
Lyra uses the litter box perfectly and enjoys a clean, quiet space.
Behaviour Around Other Animals
Lyra is great with both cats and dogs. She plays and cuddles with Charlie and Fiddle (fellow cats), and she’s calm and relaxed around both puppies and adult dogs. She even chooses to stay near them and seems to genuinely enjoy their company. It’s been such a lovely surprise to see her blossom with gentleness and patience.
Personality
Lyra is a gentle soul with the heart of a poet and... the chewing habits of a goat.
She’s calm, sensitive, and takes her time learning to trust the world — especially if that world moves too fast or gets too loud. But once she feels safe, her inner sunshine comes out: soft purrs, cozy lap naps in sunbeams, and a deep appreciation for cuddles.
She also has a silly side — she loves to play and has a particular passion for chasing toys and taste-testing cardboard. Yes, cardboard. Boxes beware!
Behaviour Around Children
Lyra is okay with children. She had a lovely, calm interaction with our 5-year-old neighbour and showed gentle curiosity. Due to her sensitive nature, she’d still do best in a home where interactions are calm and respectful, but that is possible if children understand this.
Daily Routine
Lyra enjoys a predictable rhythm: breakfast, followed by play with her brothers, long naps in sunny spots, short exploration walks around the home, and gentle cuddles in the evening. She loves lounging somewhere soft where she can watch the world quietly go by.

What Makes Him/Her Unhappy/Nervous?
Loud voices
Also, vacuum cleaners. She suspects they’re plotting something.
