History
Filou comes from a colony of approximately 18 cats living in a village near Cluj. As part of a TNR program, most of the colony was sterilized and returned. But Filou stood out immediately: unlike the others, he actively sought human contact and clearly wanted to be close to people.
Returning such a friendly cat to life on the streets simply didn’t feel right, so Filou came into foster care. There, he quickly showed us how naturally he fits into a home. He adapted beautifully to indoor life, discovered soft beds and daily cuddles, and formed a particularly close friendship with Findus.
Filou has left colony life behind. Now he is waiting for the final piece of his story: a calm, loving family of his own.
Personality
Filou is an exceptionally affectionate, social cat who absolutely loves people and has very little interest in respecting personal space.
He doesn’t simply enjoy attention, he actively seeks it out. Filou loves cuddles, follows his humans around the house and will happily jump straight into someone’s arms when he decides it is time to be loved. Head nudges, loud purrs and full-body cuddles are all part of everyday life with him.
He is confident and friendly with new people and quickly makes himself part of whatever is happening around him. If there is a lap available, an empty pair of arms or someone willing to give him affection, Filou will probably find them.
Despite being such a cuddle enthusiast, he also has a playful and curious side. He enjoys toys, exploring his surroundings and spending time with other cats, especially his foster brother Findus.
Filou is the kind of cat who genuinely wants to share his life with his humans. He isn’t looking for a home where he can simply coexist with people - he wants to be part of the family.
For someone dreaming of an affectionate, cuddly companion who will greet them, follow them around and occasionally launch himself directly into their arms, Filou may be exactly the cat they have been waiting for.
Behaviour Around Other Animals
Filou is very sociable with any other cats and especially close to kittens. They play together, groom each other and often sleep side by side. He clearly enjoys feline companionship and would be very happy sharing his future home with another friendly cat who enjoys having company.
Behaviour Around Children
Filou is comfortable around children as long as they are calm and respectful. He enjoys gentle attention and can happily share his home with children who understand how to interact quietly with cats. Loud voices, yelling or very chaotic play can make him nervous, so a calmer environment suits him best.

Filou is fully litter-trained and has adapted beautifully to indoor life. He enjoys regular meals, playtime, cuddles and comfortable places to nap. He especially loves cardboard scratchers and uses them happily, without scratching or damaging walls or furniture. He is a very well-mannered indoor cat.

Health status
Filou is a healthy young cat with no known medical problems. He is fully vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and microchipped, and has tested negative for both FIV and FeLV.
In fact, Filou has been healthy enough to become a blood donor, helping another cat in need — something we are especially proud of.
He currently requires no medication, special diet or ongoing treatment. His future family will simply need to continue routine preventative care, regular veterinary check-ups and vaccinations to help keep him as healthy and happy as he is today.
Filou is currently available for adoption in Romania, France or Germany.
