Tuti’s journey began with pain and uncertainty, but ended exactly the way we had dreamed for her: safe, loved, and finally home.

She was first found with a devastating leg injury — torn open, infected, and left without proper treatment. After receiving inadequate care initially, she was later brought to the public shelter in worsening condition, where the infection continued to spread in the unsanitary environment. When we were finally able to take her into our care, her tiny body was exhausted, but she still greeted people with soft purrs and trusting eyes.

At the veterinary clinic, the necrotic and infected tissue had to be surgically removed. Tuti then began a long recovery process involving antibiotics, pain management, regular dressings, and constant monitoring. Her bandaged leg made her look like a tiny little mummy, which inspired her name — Tuti, after Tutankamon. Despite everything she had endured, she never stopped being affectionate, gentle, and loving.

Slowly, week by week, she healed. The infection disappeared, healthy tissue formed, and her playful personality began to shine through. She loved soft blankets, cozy corners, tiny zoomies around the room, and especially human affection. Tuti was the kind of cat who would start purring the moment someone entered the room. She adored head bumps, cuddles, and following her favorite people around the house.

She also formed a beautiful bond with her foster sister Hermione. The two girls became inseparable companions — sleeping together, grooming each other, and bringing comfort during recovery and adjustment. Watching them together made it impossible to imagine separating them.

Today, Tuti is healthy, safe, and deeply loved in her forever home in Cluj-Napoca, where she was adopted together with Hermione, now renamed Kiki. Their family opened not only their home, but also their hearts to two cats who truly needed a second chance.

Tuti’s story is a reminder that even animals who arrive broken, injured, and forgotten can heal with patience, medical care, and love. From a painful beginning to a warm home filled with companionship and safety, her journey became the happy ending we were hoping for from the very start.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared her story, supported her medical care, and believed in her recovery. Because of you, Tuti got her miracle.
