Tuti was rescued with a devastating leg injury that had been left untreated, allowing infection and necrotic tissue to spread while she was in the public shelter. Once in our care, she underwent surgery followed by a long recovery involving antibiotics, pain relief, regular dressings, and constant monitoring. Her heavily bandaged leg made her look like a tiny mummy, inspiring the name Tuti after Tutankhamun. Despite everything she endured, she remained gentle, affectionate, and trusting, greeting people with purrs and loving every cuddle. As she healed, Tuti formed an inseparable bond with her foster sister Hermione. Today, she is healthy and happily adopted in Cluj-Napoca alongside Hermione—now named Kiki—where both girls are safe, deeply loved, and finally home.
