Peppo first left the Cluj-Napoca public shelter in 2014, only to be abandoned and returned nine years later as a confused senior dog. In July 2024, after months of watching him wait behind the same bars he had once escaped, we brought him into our care. Peppo quickly proved that he was far more than an “old dog”—he was a sweet, funny, affectionate grandpa who loved peaceful naps, long sniffing walks, children, couch time, and plenty of kisses. After more than a year with us, his wait finally ended on 5 September 2025, when a wonderful woman adopted him in Germany and gave him the warm beds, gentle walks, and unconditional love he had always deserved. Peppo crossed the Rainbow Bridge in July 2026, but he left this world safe, cherished, and finally home.
