Lysa was one of five tiny kittens discovered hiding in our attic in September 2025.

Most likely born there to a stray mother, the babies were completely terrified of humans. We waited, hoping their mama would return, but when she didn’t, we knew the little family needed our help.

After several days of patient attempts, we finally managed to bring them to safety.

At first, Lysa wanted very little to do with us. She was a tiny wildling who had learned that keeping her distance was the safest option.

But kittens are wonderfully capable of changing their minds.

Little by little, Lysa discovered that humans brought food, warmth, toys and gentle hands. Fear turned into curiosity, curiosity into trust, and the frightened attic kitten slowly became a sweet, playful little girl who could finally enjoy being a kitten.

The litter also faced a frightening battle with panleukopenia, and sadly, one of Lysa’s siblings didn’t survive. Lysa made it through and continued growing stronger.

Then came her turn for a happy ending.

Lysa was adopted by a family in Romania — and she didn’t arrive in an empty home.

Waiting for her was an orange brother of her very own.

The little girl who once hid from the world in an attic now has a safe home, a family who loves her and a feline brother to share her adventures with.

From tiny wildling to beloved little sister.

We will love you forever, sweet Lysa.
