Effy was rescued from the Cluj-Napoca public shelter after spending an entire year confined to a kennel so small she could barely turn around. We may never know exactly what happened to her ear and half of her tail, but despite the cruelty she endured, Effy never stopped trusting people. Once in our care, she quickly revealed her playful, affectionate nature and proved herself to be a true gentle giant—friendly with people, wonderful with other dogs, and always ready to offer cuddles, kisses, and unconditional love. Today, Effy’s difficult past is finally behind her: she has been happily adopted in France, where she can enjoy the safe, loving life she always deserved.
