Alwin arrived at the Cluj-Napoca public shelter in August 2024 as part of a canine clan of eight adult dogs and several puppies, all connected by mysterious family ties and matching underbites. Quiet, gentle, and deeply soulful, Alwin preferred observing the world and taking thoughtful walks to demanding attention. He was initially adopted in Cluj-Napoca but returned after only a few days, leaving him confused, heartbroken, and the last of his siblings still waiting in the shelter. In May 2025, we brought him into foster care and refused to give up on him. With the help of our friends at Pfotenglück, Alwin was happily adopted in Germany, where he now enjoys soft blankets, warm meals, genuine love, and the peaceful forever home he always deserved.
